Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

Introduced in 2008, this program aims to help individuals who have worked in Canada under temporary status transition to permanent residence. Applicants must have completed at least one year of full-time work (or its equivalent in part-time) during the three years immediately preceding the application, in an occupation that falls under NOC 0, A or B, as outlined in the National Occupational Classification Matrix. Applicants are also required to demonstrate language proficiency by submitting test results as part of their application.

Taking steps to qualify under the CEC program has become a very popular option, especially for those who do not meet the requirements or are not successful through the Federal Skilled Worker Class..
