Federal Skilled Workers Program (FSW)

The primary aim of this program is to facilitate the immigration of skilled workers to Canada. Candidates are assessed across a variety of factors, including: age, language abilities, education, work experience, adaptability, and arranged employment. Additional factors influencing candidate eligibility include establishing medical fitness, admissibility to Canada, and proof of funds.

Candidates meeting minimum eligibility requirements are required to complete an Express Entry profile and are then scored based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) criteria. During rounds of invitations, the government issues an Invitation to Apply (ITA) to the highest ranked candidates within the Express Entry pool.
